Within that time, also, during a Bible study, a prophetic word was spoken over her: “You know of me, but I will manifest myself to you in Truth so you will know me in your heart.” That single word pierced through cultural, religious, and emotional layers—pulling her into a personal pursuit of Jesus. What began as curiosity deepened into thirst. God began revealing His heart, His voice, and His divine blueprint for her life in ways she had never imagined.

For years, she ran. Like Jonah. "I couldn’t understand how God could ask me to go back and pour into those who had pierced me. I didn’t want to be the voice of grace—I wanted justice. I didn’t want to be vulnerable—I wanted protection. I didn’t want to serve the people I was called to. I didn’t think they deserved it. But then God showed me grace. He showed me that I needed it too.”

A grounding truth, forged in the fire of personal hardship, impossible promotions, unlikely favor, and deep spiritual refinement, God being the Source serves as a potent reminder that helps to keep DeiNavi positive as life progresses. From a challenging childhood in Jamaica to accelerated achievements in adulthood, her life has always whispered, shouted, and sung one thing: God provides. God protects. God promotes.

“I didn’t want this to be a polished performance,” she says.  “I wanted it to be an encounter. Confusion in the beginning that's indicative of desert or valley seasons, and then the introduction of God's piercing voice of peace in the midst. This is the kind of song that meets people in their silence — in their shame — and reminds them that God’s love didn’t change and that He welcomes their questions amid their despair because He IS the answer.”

It was a sobering lesson: even when operating in divine instruction, God's work must be handled with care, reverence, and humility. She says that season was pivotal because it showed her that it's very easy to step out of the will of the Lord even when He instructs you to do something and has given you grace and leeway to do it. His things must always be stewarded properly and responsibly.

“This song is my personal offering to God – a reminder that no matter what I face, He deserves all of my worship,” DeiNavi shares. “Releasing it under my new name, and it being the first re-release at that, is symbolic of the journey I’ve walked through and the person I’m becoming in Christ.”
