"God Is THE Source, everything else? A REsource..." - DeiNavi Shares About A Life Built on Divine Provision

Faith fuels creativity—and no one models that truth more authentically than DeiNavi. In this second feature of our August spotlight series, she unpacks what it means to walk away from worldly certainty and into divine provision. With bold conviction, DeiNavi declares, “God is THE Source,” reminding us that when we surrender outcomes, we make space for miracles. From her music to her mindset, DeiNavi reveals how unwavering dependence on God continues to anchor her in seasons of silence, transition, and creation.

A grounding truth, forged in the fire of personal hardship, impossible promotions, unlikely favor, and deep spiritual refinement, God being the Source serves as a potent reminder that helps to keep DeiNavi positive as life progresses. From a challenging childhood in Jamaica to accelerated achievements in adulthood, her life has always whispered, shouted, and sung one thing: God provides. God protects. God promotes.

Even now, when anxiety knocks and uncertainties rise, this reminder always brings her back to peace: God has done it before. He will do it again.

Provision in the Unlikeliest Places

DeiNavi’s story isn’t about striving; it’s about surrender.

Time and time again, she’s found herself in rooms she didn’t technically “qualify” for, sitting at tables she never applied to be invited to.

Whether it was corporate roles that stretched her skills or ministry moments that called on a grace she didn’t feel prepared for, the outcome was always the same: God equipped her for every assignment He sent her to.

“I’ve achieved things early in life that honestly didn’t make sense on paper. I wasn’t supposed to ‘win’ by the world’s standards—but God made a way every time,” she reflects. “That’s why I don’t play when it comes to acknowledging Him as my Source.”

From Corporate Certainty to Creative Faith

Leaving behind the stability of a 9–5 career wasn’t an impulsive decision—it was a faith step. One that tested every part of her resolve. “I was used to the consistency, the paycheck, the rhythm,” she says. “But God made it clear that it was time to focus fully on the work He had called me to.”

Since then, her life has become an offering of obedience. Every song written, every retreat planned, every meal prepared under Isle & Essence is done with one thing in mind: "Lord, this is Yours. Use it how You will."

She admits, though, that obedience doesn’t cancel out fear. “There are seasons where the silence is loud. Where you're like, 'Okay, God... where’s the next thing?' But He always reminds me: If He’s the One who started it, He’s the One who will sustain it.”

The Realness Behind the Ministry

To many, DeiNavi is a voice of power and passion. But behind the mic is a woman who knows the sacredness of being still.

“Netflix and sleep? That’s a big part of my self-care, lol,” she laughs. “But seriously, rest is sacred. It helps me listen again, and remember that I don't control everything but I can at least control myself and how I am processing a situation.”

She’s refreshingly human—unapologetic about enjoying Formula 1, craving quiet time, and doing life her own way. That blend of intensity and joy is what makes her relatable. “I’m forthright, loving, and authentic. That’s me to the core.”

“People think ministry is only what happens on a stage. But I see God in the kitchen. In hosting. In creating safe spaces for others to reconnect with Him and themselves. That’s sacred too,” mentioning her Food Service & Solo Retreat Business, Isle & Essence

Faith in the Process, Not the Outcome

DeiNavi’s faith isn’t performative—it’s practiced. In dry seasons, she doesn’t push to produce. She waits. “If it’s a season of silence, I do my best to stay obedient to what He said last,” she says. “It’s not always easy, but I’ve seen too much to doubt Him now.” And when anxiety creeps in, her spirit returns to the phrase that has never failed her:

“God is THE Source. Everything else is a resource. So what is a mountain for Him to overcome?”

That simple truth silences fear, reignites faith, and reminds her that divine orchestration is always in motion, even when nothing seems to be moving.

A Creative Rooted in Christ

Whether it’s Colossians 3:23–24 reminding her to work as unto the Lord, or Matthew 5:16 calling her to shine with purpose, DeiNavi’s anchor is not applause or algorithm—it’s always been abiding.

Something that she cherishes now because she admits that it took work for her to get to that place, as she used to desire validation of her voice and lyrics through others and when it did not come or wasn't comparable to others, she felt that she was not good enough - something she knew she had to work on if she was going to truly do well in stewarding God's calling.

“I want people to remember that I gave God my best. That I didn’t just make art—I made space for healing, truth, and the presence of God.”

In a world that glorifies hustle, numbers, and spectacle, DeiNavi continues to live slowly, serve intentionally, and sing boldly—all because she knows exactly where her help comes from.

Stay tuned for more from DeiNavi this August. Her latest single “Everlasting Love” dropped on August 8, and her upcoming single “Jericho” releases August 29—two deeply personal declarations of God's presence, timing, and victory.
