''The waiting wasn’t punishment; it was preparation'' Lets talk about Treze-Gaye's journey of resilience

When the spotlight fades and the crowd quiets, it’s often the unseen moments that define an artist’s journey. For Treze-Gaye, Gospel music isn’t just a platform—it’s a path paved with prayer, perseverance, and powerful faith.

In this continuation of her story, Treze opens up about the silent seasons that tested her, the divine encouragement that reignited her purpose, and the core values that shape her both on and off the stage.

Lets get into it!

PAJE: What has been your biggest faith test and how did you overcome it?

Treze-Gaye: My biggest faith test came when I faced seasons of silence, moments when it felt like doors weren't opening, opportunities were few, and I wondered if I had truly heard God right about my calling. It was hard not to let discouragement settle in.

But in those quiet seasons, I learned to press deeper into God, to worship even when I didn’t feel like it, and to stand on His promises, not my feelings.

Prayer, fasting, and surrounding myself with people who reminded me of God’s word helped me to stay grounded. Over time, I realized that the waiting wasn't punishment; it was preparation. That faith test strengthened me for the blessings that were coming.

PAJE: What would you say are three words that describe your personality

Treze-Gaye: Three words that describe my personality are passionate, resilient, and authentic.

PAJE: We'd love if you could share a defining moment, turning point or breakthrough in your journey

Treze-Gaye: A major turning point in my journey was the day of my very first event as a solo artiste. I was battling a lot of doubt, questioning if I was good enough to really walk this path.

On that very same day, out of nowhere, gospel singer Glacia Robinson reached out to me with words of encouragement. She reminded me that what God calls you to, He also equips you for. That moment was such a clear sign from God that I was on the right track.

It strengthened my faith and gave me the courage to keep moving forward, even when my feelings tried to convince me otherwise.

Treze Gaye’s journey is a testimony to the power of unwavering faith, even when the answers aren’t immediate. Her story reminds us that waiting doesn’t mean forgotten, and that when God says "go," He’ll provide everything needed for the journey.
