Don’t Grow Weary in Well-doing

Updated: Jun 19

Galatian 6:9 KJV

And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.

Have you ever been trying to do good and felt worn out and demotivated? Weariness. Doesn't it have a way of creeping up on us? Weariness sometimes creeps up on us and prevents us from enjoying our harvest. We give up on our dreams because we get tired.

Firstly, Galatians 6:9 commands us not to be weary in well-doing. To be weary means to feel exhausted in strength, endurance. Have you ever been trying to do good and felt worn out and demotivated? Weariness. Doesn't it have a way of creeping up on us? Weariness sometimes creeps up on us and prevents us from enjoying our harvest. We give up on our dreams because we get tired.

Weariness can happen over time because of life circumstances or the constant hardships of life. The apostle Paul reminds us of the importance of persevering and not getting weary of doing good. It serves as a word of encouragement to keep pushing, pressing forward, even when feeling discouraged, disappointed, or exhausted.

Secondly, we are promised that in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Due season implies at the right time. Remember, there is a due season for everything that you are going through right now, and if you faint not, you will see the breakthrough. Don't get weary when you sow and don't see immediate results. You will reap at the right time. We are almost at the end of the year, and there might be some dreams that still haven’t come to pass. But God promises that in due season you will reap a reward from all the work that you have sown if you don’t give up. God has a bigger picture and will work it out according to His plan and timetable. Keep sowing!

My encouragement to you is: starting today, put aside any discouragement or disappointment and make the decision to keep moving forward no matter how long the dream is taking to come to pass. God will shift you into your season of reward. But you've got to trust Him through this season. Keep doing good. Don’t grow weary!

Be encouraged!

God bless you richly.
