Jeremiah 17:7–8
"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
There’s something powerful about the kind of trust that can stand firm—even in drought. This verse paints such a beautiful picture of what it means to truly rely on God. A tree planted by the water isn’t shaken when the heat comes. It doesn’t wither in dry seasons. Why? Because it’s rooted near its source.

That’s the kind of life we’re called to live when we place our confidence fully in the Lord. Even when things around us feel unstable or uncertain, trust becomes our anchor. And that trust doesn’t go unnoticed—God calls that person blessed. Not just in good times, but even in the midst of challenges, there’s a peace and a fruitfulness that remain.
It’s not about pretending life is always easy—it’s about being deeply rooted in the One who never changes. The One who nourishes, strengthens, and sustains.
Let this be a reminder today: trust isn’t weakness. Trust is strength. Trust is stability. And those who place their hope in the Lord will never be dry—they’ll continue to grow, bear fruit, and thrive no matter the season.
