A Dwelling Place for God (Bible Study)

John 14:23

“Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”

We often talk about loving Jesus, but in John 14:23, He shows us what that love truly looks like—obedience that invites intimacy. This verse is both a call and a promise: when we love Christ through our actions and decisions, the reward is nothing less than God’s presence dwelling within us. This is the heart of the promise: God makes His home in us. Not just a visit. Not just a moment of inspiration. A home.

When we love and obey Jesus, we become a dwelling place for the presence of God—Father, Son, and through the Holy Spirit. It’s the fulfillment of God’s desire from the beginning: to be with His people.

You carry His presence into your family, your job, your struggles, and your victories. You are never alone.
